Excellent Pull Out Spice Rack

Beautifully finished excellent product. My wife loves it. Installation a bit tricky because of out weird cupboard design. You do beautiful work and I will recommend you anytime.

Size was perfect and my wife loves it

I purchased the 4 inch width for a 9 inch base. Our cabinet base has a face frame with the hinges showing so the 4 inch clears everything as needed. There are many slide out spice racks but what makes this one so unique is they offered an 18 inch high rack. I could not find any others that were the height we needed. My base cabinet has a drawer and most racks are made for a full door cabinet which is to tall for my needs. This one was perfect for our needs. It is well made and the video installation guide made it simple to install. I also like that is is completely put together and all that is needed to install is line it up and attach with 2 screws. The size was perfect and my wife loves it. We also added the soft close feature to match the rest of our drawers. I totally give this 5 stars! My only complaint is I think the shipping is to high. But that has nothing to do with the quality of the cabinet.

Dimensions

They should have specifications with drawings. The dimensions calls out for a 4 opening but in actually it is 4.5 required opening with the round head screws that were used. Our cabinet had to be remade without which it would not function at all. ** Customer ordered base mount for a faceless cabinet, simply removing the base mount and side mounting the slides would have remedied the situation, no need to rebuild a cabinet

Spice Rack Fits Perfectly

Great pull out spice rack well made and fit perfectly. The installation video is a nice touch. I also purchased several kitchen pull out shelves with full extension drawer slides. Again very well made. I would recommend your product to everyone.

Installing Base Mount L Brackets In A Faceless Cabinet

Face less or Euro style cabinets are becoming more prevalent in homes and are distinguished by the doors and or drawers being attached directly to the side walls of the cabinet versus onto the edge of a frame that encompasses the entire front of the cabinet.

Slide Out Sheves LLC makes available on most pull out shelves and spice racks a base mount option that allows the drawer to be sat into the base of the cabinet or onto a full depth shelf and easily secured with screws. This base mount method is not for face less cabinets but rather face frame cabinets.

So what difference does it make? A face frame cabinet has a gap or reveal from the edge of the face frame to the sidewall, This reveal is usually 1/4 inch up to 2 or three inches depending on the cabinet.When we add base mount bracket to our side mount drawer slide the screws that attach the two pieces protrude beyond the measurement calculated in the opening width but because there is a 1/4 to 3 inch reveal on either side of the opening on a face frame cabinet this protrusion is never taken into account as the brackets sits behind the frame and does not need to come through the opening.

The base mount brackets do need to be taken into account if used in a face less or euro style cabinet. Although as mentioned earlier drawer slides are usually attached directly to the walls of euro style cabinets, consumers opt to go with our base mount brackets for convenience.Again, the base brackets are never taken into account as the intended use is not for Euro cabinets and the screws attaching the brackets protrude out into the sidewall and will squeeze the drawer slides closer together affecting the proper spacing. If you want the convenience of base mount brackets we recommend subtracting a total of 1/2 inch to account for the attachment screws

1. THERE ARE TWO BASIC TYPES OF CABINETS,

FRAMED AND FRAME-LESS

Framed Cabinets

Framed cabinets have a face frame usually made of a hardwood. When the doors of the cabinet are closed you can still see the cabinet face frames around the doors and drawer fronts and usually you can see the hinges. The interior of the cabinet is wider on both sides than the cabinet opening. The face frame usually extends into the opening about 3/4" or more. Framed cabinets are the traditional style of cabinets in the United States and they are found in more homes than the newer Euro style. Some newer cabinets are hybrids, meaning they have a face frame but hidden hinges like the Euro style

"Euro" or Frame-less style"

Frameless cabinets do not have a face frame. The front edge of the cabinet sidewall is the front of the cabinet. When the doors and drawers are closed they cover almost the entire cabinet. The hinges are totally concealed when the doors are closed. Euro style hinges are larger than the traditional framed cabinet hinge and tend to interfere more with the cabinet opening. Frame less cabinets often use a 32mm hole system for the hinge mounting and shelf support. The interior width is the same as the opening minus the door and hinge interference. Many newer homes have frame less style cabinets. Frame less cabinets always have "side mount" mounting style.
